The 7 Chakras

There are numerous theories throughout the World regarding how many chakras are in the human body.  Some say 5 chakras, some say 8 chakras, some say 13 chakras...some say up to 88,000 chakras! All we need to focus on are the seven major chakras.

The 7 chakras of the body start at the base of the spine, align all the way up the spine to the top of the head.  There is an awesome youtube video below from www.friamin.com that details all the 7 chakras.  Watch here:

 

The heart chakra is the most important of all the 7 chakras. It bridges our physical body (lower chakras) to our spiritual body (upper chakras) and maintains balance between the two. Opening the heart chakra (if it is deficient or closed up) will allow us to experience peace, healthy relationships, love of others & self, and a true sense of balance.

On the other side, if the heart chakra is too open, your energy will literally come pouring out. You will give too much of your energy away helping others, being overly compassionate, overly forgiving and overly sympathetic, overly loving. In turn leaving nothing for yourself and draining you to the point of exhaustion.

Heart chakra healing should be of the utmost importance as the health and balance of the heart chakra greatly effects the other 6 chakras. It is best to pay close attention to your emotions and life experiences. It will very quickly tell you if your heart chakra is balanced and healthy.
